Sacramental Preparation

2nd grade is an exciting year at St. James School. Students will prepare for receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion.  Classroom instruction during Religion Class and parent participation will create a Parent/School team that stresses the importance of the Sacraments. First Penance is received at the beginning of February and First Communion is received in May.  Further information is sent home with each family at Back to School Night.

 

Participation in weekly Mass is important for your child.  By attending Mass and worshiping as a family, you teach your child by example what it means to be an active participant in their faith.  It truly makes what we learn in class "come alive" for your child.
