New Principal

Mr. Jae Kim is a dedicated Catholic educator and school administrator with over 20 years of experience leading elementary, high school, and college institutions in the U.S. and abroad. He has worked in both affluent and underserved communities, ensuring that all children receive high-quality academic and spiritual formation.

Currently serving as the principal of St. Andrew Catholic School in Pasadena, Mr. Kim has played a key role in revitalizing the school. Since stepping into leadership during COVID, enrollment has grown, with waiting lists in several lower-grade classrooms. Academically, he has accelerated early education programs, leading to exceptional STAR test scores, including class scores in the 90s. Under his leadership, the school’s arts and athletics programs have flourished, with the return of school musicals after 20 years, an expanded choral program that performed for Pope Francis in Rome, and the growth of athletic teams.

Beyond school administration, Mr. Kim has extensive experience in financial planning, grant writing, and board recruitment. As an administrator in Rome, he managed $30 million for non- profits, helping to improve financial stability. As a private educational consultant, he has advised schools on fundraising and long-term planning to ensure sustainability.

Deeply committed to religious education, Mr. Kim co-directed a religious education program in Inglewood, for over 750 students preparing for Confirmation, First Communion, and RCIA, all while managing principal duties.

As a strong advocate for Catholic education, he has three children currently attending American Martyrs School, with his youngest set to join next year. He speaks multiple foreign languages with Spanish being his strongest. Mr. Kim is very excited to get to know the community, families, and students.
