Meet Sra. Arce
I am not a native speaker, but I have been a life-long learner of Spanish. I was very lucky to be student in an elementary school that taught Spanish, just like St. James Catholic school. I have a BA in Spanish, a MA in Spanish Literature, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential. I have lived in Colombia and Mexico where I met my husband of 35 years. After traveling through out the Spanish speaking world, it is a great privilege to experience the Catholic Religion through many different cultures. My students have been people of all ages from preschoolers to adults. I have taught English speakers and Heritage speakers. I have even taught Spanish to people who did not speak English. For me, learning Spanish not about knowing or teaching grammar. Helping others acquire a second language is about making it fun and comprehensible.
