Dear St. James Families:

Welcome Back, the end is in sight! I hope everyone enjoyed our much needed break and have returned energized! The next two months are so busy, please update your calendars. Trimester 3 progress reports will be going home next Tuesday, May 6. Now is the time to stay focused and finish strong.

Pizza Lunch is back! On Thursday, May 8 we will be offering an optional pizza lunch for students. Choice of pepperoni or cheese with a Capri Sun drink. Choicelunch is still available for students. Please use the order form link to purchase pizza lunch. Only $6 per student.

Re-Enrollment for 2025-26 School Year

Thank you to our families that have re-enrolled! If you have not yet done so, we kindly ask that you complete the online re-enrollment process ASAP. To re-enroll your student(s), please log onto your Gradelink account using a web browser (not the app) and click the Re-Enroll tab. Your prompt re-enrollment helps us plan effectively for the upcoming year. If you need your family Gradelink login or have any questions, or will not be attending in the fall, please contact the school office. Additional copies of your family Gradelink login will be sent home with progress reports next week.

Please note: If your re-enrollment application is not received by May 15, the assumption is that your students are returning for the 2025-26 school year and the $100 re-registration fee will be automatically billed through your FACTS tuition account. The $100 registration fee holds your place for next school year, is applied to general fees (billed in June) and is non-refundable.

Final acceptance for the next school year includes the completion of 2024-25 financial obligations and fulfillment of the parent agreement, with acceptable levels of behavior and effort on the student's part.

Spring Opportunity Raffle

We are excited to announce the start of our SJS Spring Raffle! This mandatory fundraiser for all school families offers a chance to win cash prizes. Raffle tickets were sent home in the family envelope today or see flyer below. The raffle drawing will take place at our annual art show on May 22. VIRTUS Training and Fingerprinting

Just a reminder that all school families are required to have current VIRTUS training and be fingerprinted with the LA Archdiocese in order to volunteer at school and in the parish.

Next Livescan Fingerprinting:

Monday, May 12 in O’Gorman Center. Limited appointments still available 12p-6:00p. Please bring a legal ID.

Please call the parish office 310/372-5228 to RSVP for fingerprinting appointment. There is no charge for the training class or fingerprinting.

Please join us for VBS Camp this summer!

Our theme this year is "The Great Journey with Jesus Through the Liturgical Year," and we will have a lot of fun celebrating Christmas in Summer and much more.

Date: Monday, June 23rd through Friday, June 27th
Time: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Location: St James Community Campus (next to the church)
Cost: $50 per child or $125 for 3 or more children. Youth Volunteer $20.
